i have a pair of these and i'm hoping to do a full range setup with them. a member on another forum suggested that I do a backloaded folded horn design for better midrange dispersion...does anyone have any tips, or better yet could anyone make me any designs as I have no idea as to where to begin! any help is appreciated!

They might work ok in the fostex FE83e factory horn design, though they aren't exactly a 100% match.
Also, a front-horn might be an interesting idea.

Hi,

I would rather suggest you not to use this driver in a vented cabinet. Due to its high fs there will be no low bass production. If you coordinate it lower than fs you will not really be able to hear very loud.

Why not in a closed cabinet in combination with a vented 8inch woofer. Its like fullrange if you put your crossover below 250Hz.

hrmm...thats a decent idea. i actually had been using them in book/tower speakers with an 8" for the woofer..the cabinets are rotting anyway, so i can use the drivers for a new speaker set. any designs or further suggestions would be helpful.
