Guy says the amp shuts off when playing doesn’t protect just shuts off .
I’ve had it on the bench playing for an hour and push on various parts of the board tapped the amp ect and it never shuts off like he described .
Any ideas ?

Did he confirm that the B+, remote and ground connections were OK?
Did he confirm that the voltage on the terminals was all OK as it shuts off?

He didn’t check anything just brought it to me and stated this . I will give it back to him have him hook it up and check voltages
Back to this amp .
Hooked it back up in the vehicle and it does the same thing turns on and off .
The voltage remains at 14 volts on the amps battery terminals .
Tested another amp in the vehicle and it has no issues .
This amp turns on and off whenever it wants to .
I pulled the board from the heatsink and see no bistable signs of anything wrong .

For a start, compare the PS driver IC terminal voltages when on and when it shuts off for no known reason.
I've had pretty much amps which had a defect remote transistor for powering up the PS IC.
Maybe that one is leaking or bad? I would highly suggest to check that from my experience.
