I went to a local thrift shop and found one of these Blade Avanti VTH100 Tube amp. It's in near mint shape. Works perfect, few blemishes ontop, nothing big.
One of the hardest amps to come by.
There was only 25 of them ever made before the company went bankrupt.
Made in Canada. Retail was $3000 Back in 1993.

This one sold last year for $1026 ! 😱

Recently aquired a Blade SE54. Any opinions?
Anything by Blade was pretty rare (and expensive). The company didnt survive long.
As far as quality, the SE line was entry level, then G series (Greneade) then M series, then the rare Avanti.

Paid $115 for it. Works great looks cool. Like the fact that it's actually TWO amps in one sink. separate pwr supplies and boards gain on each channel. Been drifting towards the rarer amps lately, just for fun.
That Avanti looks way cool as well, just like the Studebaker did. Sounds like these Blade guys were ahead of their time technology wise but didn't have a sufficient supply of illegal Mexican workers to build them cheap enough in Canada. Lots of competition too. Bought 3 PPI's in 93 (Black Arts) and still have them.
