Hi,
My rabco transport motor is/was a rather noisy thing. On quiet music passages - level fairly high, but not ear splitting - I am able to hear the noise of the motor.
I have tried all kinds of things: Installed a rubber O ring instead of the chain (works very well btw), sealed motor in soundproofing material, decoupled motor housing from transom by applying rubber strips between mounting surfaces, but still - despite dampening by about 1/2, I still get some noise through.
It is the motor itself (the gears) that is noisy, but I have found no way to get at the gears and grease them to reduce the gear noise.
Any help? Miserable in BC
