questions ob JFETS and coupling caps

Hey,

Do JFETs need Zener protection diodes? If so what type for say the 2N3819?

Also I want to have switchable output coupling caps... i.e from a Jensen PIO to say a Dynamicap...

So.... what is the best way of doing this?

My pre will draw about 25mA per channel at 40v. Recommendations for bypass caps? So far I will use a 50v 100uf Elna Cerafine...
