Hi, i have a qa-1650 panel and a expressvu 3100 reciever. When i try to watch adult channels through either s-video or the rca input it displays B&W ????
Has anyone else had this problem?
Anyone know how to correct this problem.

Hi m8, I have the same problem, but colour will appear for a minute or two and then disappear again, Sorry I do not know how to fix it but would like to find out, 😉
When it turns to b/w pull out the video rca without switching of the panel.The sharp logo will appear.Then just put the rca back and it will be with collors.This is the way i deal with this problem over a year now,not with adult channels but whenever i watch dvds.With tv there is no problem.I do not know what is causing this problem but it has to do something with pal collor pallete.
It is a pain in the *** doing this any time it gets b/w but soon as collors come back it never fails again unless you switch inputs.
Also the scaler in this panel is very bad!I also have another problem.Each time the panel has to project big aerias with the same collor it produces horizontal lines,only in these aerias.Anyone know anything about this?
Tip:if your balb has a uv filter replace the bottom sandwitch glass with a 3mm plain glass(so there will still be air cerculation)and remove the top glass.Just becarefull nothing falls on the lcd and scratces it.This way the image will be sharper,brighter and closer to white.The thick glasses that originaly are there make the collors more green,produse reflections and waste of light.
They are there for other reasons.For our perposes they must come of.If you have a split fresnel setup just cut and place the second fresnel where the top glass was.This is the way i use this panel and i get the maximum it can delivers.For tv and dvds at 80" diagonal with 250w/spherical reflector and condenser it looks very nice.I wish it did not have the problems mensioned above.Response time seems to be ok.If i find out anything more i will let you know.

I tried the pull out, wait for the sharp logo and push in again trick and it doesn't work
