I have recently purchased an Aleph 3, and am considering the Aleph P or the Aleph L.
Which pre do you think compliment the Aleph 3 best? I havent been able to find any retail-price for the Aleph L, but I would think that it was cheaper than the P.
I have gotten good offers on both preamps, but I can't decide which to get. The remote isn't an issue, neither is numbers of inputs, since I only plan on connecting a cd-player to it.
I plan on driving my Klipsch RB 75 with my amps.
Any other DIY's out there compared the two, I'd be grateful for your points of view too🙂
Thanks for always greay help,

Go for Aleph P. It is more rifined and smooth sounding. My personal opinion is that P is better than L. It is more extended at frequency extremes and more smooth and open sounding. I just think it is superior, but Aleph L is still a very good sounding preamplifier.
I have no experience with neither P nor L.
Nevertheless, I would like to vote for P (v1.0), too.
P (v1.0) has less number of active devices.

aleph P
I do not know about the original aleph L, but my L clone was not very good the sound was kinda mood, with mediocre HF responce o.k bass and good mid.
On the other hand a friend's aleph P was super all the way, (I borrowed this to compare with my aleph L). I n my opinion aleph P is a truly dream pre, excellent in all respects and as a bonus, fully balanced too.

Considering the single-ended F2 and L and the balanced
F1 and P:
The single-ended circuits have a fairly pure 2nd harmonic and
the balanced circuits have a 3rd harmonic character.
These two sets of circuits are simple and reasonably good
test beds to consider these qualities of sound as they have
no feedback, only a single gain stage, and otherwise mostly
use identical parts.
With all the mythology about preference for even over odd
harmonics, you would imagine the single-ended circuits to
sound better, but -
The sound of the balanced (P) circuit seems to be more
popular than the sound of the single-ended (L) version.
This is also true of the balanced F1 over the single-ended F2.

Is it possible to drive two Aleph 3 (vertical biamp) with one Aleph L?
It has two outputs....
