I have a meixing MC84-A amp and i want to connect it to my yamaha RX-V677 receiver. is it possible?
the back of my amp only has speaker cable out and my receiver only has RCA cable input
there is online instruction to convert speaker cable to RCA cable, but not sure if that will work for me.
any suggestion?

You need to tap into the Yamaha's preamp section and take an audio feed from there. This would be a point either before or after the volume control, depending on whether you want the volume control in the Yamaha to be your main control or not.
Using the Yamaha's speaker output to feed into another power amp is a very poor method.
Best solution would be a separate preamp to use with your valve amp, a preamp that allows all your sources to be connected.

I see, thank you for your speedy reply 🙂
the reason i want to do that is my sub is currently connect to my receiver and the speakers connect to my valve amp has really weak bass. is there another way for my to use the sub on my valve amp?
sorry for the newbie question, i am really new to this field.

Not sure which direction you are trying to go... MC84 into Yamaha (why?!) or Yamaha into MC84 (more sensible)?the back of my amp only has speaker cable out and my receiver only has RCA cable input

MC84 to Yamaha,
because i have a sub that connect to my Yamaha and i want to use it on my valve amp.
sorry for the newbie question, i am really new on this. 🙁
maybe it's not doable 🙁
Does your sub have a built in amplifier ? If it does, then it would be acceptable to feed that from the MC84 speaker outputs (assuming the MC84 itself goes down low enough)
It seems you already have the correct connections, with the Yamaha driving the sub and the MC84 driving the speakers. Valve amp and sub usually do not mix well...
according to the website
Home Audio | Visions Electronics
it has an 150W amplifier build in.
but i don't know if my MC84 is low enough
here is the site for MC84

Does the sub have speaker inputs? If so, just connect them to the MC84. If it only has RCA inputs, then connect them to the preamp output from the Yamaha.
Looking at those and I would say best option is going to be a separate preamp.
If you really want to use the Yamaha then you are going to have to take a feed from before the volume control for best results with MC84.
That leaves the problem of the sub and whether you want the sub volume to be controlled by the main single volume control in the system. If you do want the sub and MC84 to work from the Yamaha volume control then you need to take a feed for both from after the volume control.
Another option would be to add line out sockets to the MC84 and feed the sub from there, using the MC84 volume control.
All these solutions are a compromise in some way. The real answer for best sound is a dedicated preamp.

it doesn't have speaker input 🙁 and it's currently connect to the preamp output from my Yamaha.
So what is the problem? Yamaha preout -> sub, tape out -> MC84 (use the volume control to set the level) -> speakers. Or use a Y-splitter to drive both the sub and the MC84, so you can use the Yamaha to control the levels of both.
I just realized that my Yamaha has preamp output after reading the manual 😛
Thank you for helping me 😀

thank you for the detail suggestion. i will give it a try tomorrow.
