Hi Members. I have a Quad 44 preamp which as a selector board with number 2090-1 it's in the grey model with a high serial number. This board is not mentioned in the Quad 44 service manual. I will be grateful if any member can supply me with a circuit for the mentioned board, the board as two Intergrated circuits as apposed to three in earlier selector boards.

See PM for a link. But it's not clear which board you mean. The selector board has no op-amps on it at all, only 4x4066 switching ICs. 14 pin, and this never changed. The tone control board went from having 4 single opamps to 5 duals. And there are no boards that ever had 3 op-amps on them.

Thank ejp for your reply. The board I am talking about is the board with the selector switches on the front panel. The two chips are MC14174BCP.

Ah that one. I've heard of the MC14174BCP version but never seen it, and I've serviced quite a few 44s. Never heard of a problem with the logic chips either. Good luck with it. I think you may find the MC14174BCP easier to source than the earlier ones.

Since this board seems to be a rare beatsie, it would be nice if you could post a few pics of it and whatever diagrams you have for others to drool over 🙂
