QUAD 33 preamp balance mechanism

hi im looking at my balance control - its seams to be missing a piece? - any help please

Yes, there is something missing. To the right of the balance control, over the spring, you have a yellow thing sticking up. There should be two of them. They form a fork which engages with the pin on the lever attached to the balance pot shaft.

You can get a 3D printed replacement for the whole slider thing from my Dada Electronics shop at Shapeways.

Just a quick question before I order: is there a difference in quality between the "versatile plastic", the "multijet fusion plastic" and the "fine grain plastic"?
I don't mind the colours, but I'd prefer to order the one that holds best, as the balance pot isn't very easy to turn. (That was probably the reason why the original slider broke.)

This may sound odd but I don't actually know. They don't provide a prototyping service, and with all those dozens of models I have there, paying full price for samples of my own products is just impractical. So we all just have to rely on the descriptions of the materials provided by Shapeways.
