QKits amps

Hi

Does anyone know the K8040 and the K4020 power amp from the QKits.com?

What are these amps compared to?
I want something that can outperform a Rotel
Do these do the job? Any comments on how they sound?

i love my pre amp that i bought from them it is the http://www.qkits.com/serv/qkits/velleman/pages/K4100.asp

and have n problems it took me about 2 days to assemble it though because there instructions are so detailed and where parts go is specified realy well.. so ya

id buy one any day again

Those kits are from Velleman. Yes, Velleman's kits are very detail in their drawings.

Velleman, originally a Belgian company ( 😉 ).

I bought and made a lot of kits of them (DC controlled dimmers, PC interface card, light computer, ....). They were all of high quality, I cannot say something wrong about their kits or their service.

Hi Jason

I'm interested in the K4100 preamp kit. What's the sound quality of the preamp like - do you think the digital potentiometers affect it? Also, what opamps do Velleman supply with the kit?

P.s my dad has been building audio for years and years went to bcit for it that iwhy i am in it and when i ordered it he said it was proabably a pos then i got it and he seen all the nice metal film resisters and ect components he was impressed..
and digital pots i love em
