Q: Stereo Amp / Dual PS Chokes

What is the reason behind separate R & L channel PS chokes off a single power trafo?

Is it that an individual LC-filter for each channel provides better isolation from the other than if the B+ came from a same point?

I don't see any point since you'll have a good amount of capacitance after the filtering, enough to anchor the supply that one won't cause any crosstalk to the other. On top of that, the signals are crossing far more in air and your head, who cares about -60dB crosstalk in the amp?

A good number of people say things sound better when the 2 channels are isolated from each other, PSU wise.

JMO, it helps, but the benefits are relatively small. However, a lot drops of water combined make an ocean.

Clearly , this is what my orientation has been. I keep hearing good things though from people not inclined to voodoo audio pronouncements. This may be one of those things I have to try then judge.
