Hi,
Just a quick question.
Just for interest!
Has anyone ever bypassed PSU caps with Jupiter wax caps or Mundorf silver / oil?
I know most will say polypropylene (clarity cap) etc.
Or what preferences do you have if any?
Regards
M. Gregg

Perhaps this is not constructive input for a question about caps, but my newfound preference is to separate the PSU caps from the signal parts with a tube regulator. Really livens up the sound!
Best cap = no cap.
Best cap = no cap.
@MrCurwen,
I'd like to see how you eliminated all the caps in your power supply ;-)
Let's stick to the OP's question, PS bypass caps... I use polypropylenes or ASC besides the standard electrolytics.

I bypassed with Russian PIO K-42-2 DIY voltage regulator PSU for Squeezebox, instead of Wima 10.
In my tube DACs PSU, i bypassed with Jantzen Superior.
Russians says that their PIOs were made for such purposses. Very, very true.
Wima sonic result comparing to K42-2s were, lets say Brittish way- more than quite poor.
In both casses i also added in paralel with bypass caps, Vishay 1837 bypass cap and result is more than quite good.
