psone screens - any others work or only the official sony ones??

I can't find a list anywhere of psone screens that people have tried to strip and use from projections!

I've used an official one that worked but is now brocken!so i want a cheaper replacement.

Does anyone know of any other cheaper models that work and where to get them?

Do most of the cheaper models strip and work fine or is it only the official ones!?

I've seen these competition pro ones for sale on ebay, are they any good? anyone had any experience?

If everyone could post results of psone screens tried, if they work or not and where to buy them that would be fantastic for many new comers

this lcd has a not so bad picture
however the actual lcd looks to have ribbons on the bottom and the left and right side connected to the lcd. it make me feel to scared to even try to dieememble it. the closest i had was just removing the back cover.
the actual componants inside dont look too reliable compared to the official sony one and the pcd generate alot of heat.

it seems more likley to me that it cannot be used at all as it also has 2 pcb which futher complicates the matter.

i have purchased one and wasted my money however it can be used for a diy car tv.

overall verdict NO NO NO

If you know of someone in the states that could get it to you, I have already taken it apart and the brightness mod is done. 😀
