Hey Everybody
Just orderd The Sony PSOne Screen I am going to use in my project, and it only costed me 80$ which i really cheap, because in Denmark it cost around 320$ from new 😱
But my question is:
Is it possible to run the PSOne of an PC PSU.
PSU gives 12V and the screen only need 7,5V. Since I am going to use cabinets fans so instead of using 2 PSU´s I could use only one.
Found this in a Thread but I don't know much about it so I need it explained REALLY SIMPLE 🙄

power adapter for psx screen Post #129
hey lowjacker,
just in case you have normal pc- psu's.
hang a LM317 behind 12 V output of a computer- or other -psu and a 1kOhm resistor on the middle-pin . You'll get then 7.5 Volts to run the psone lcd.

Check out the datasheet for the LM 317
LM317 Datasheet
Just put the 1k resistor where r1 is the diagram (middle pin is V-out)
