I just got a Proxima Ovation 822c. To start off the fan is incredibly lound, not sure what to do about that, but i have other problems with it. I got it pluged it up and the shift and freeze keey were going crazy. Fine i researched and ogot it fixed to a point. I am able to get that to stop but only when i lower the resolution on my monitor to 800x600 ( the lowest it goes) but when i do this my screen on the proxima goes black. I know the 822c has a resolution of 640x480 but my monitor dosnt go that low. I was uder the impression that the panel would only put out 640x480 even though the monitor was at a higher resolution. What can be done about this besides finding a monitor that goes to 640x480. or is that not even goin to fix the problem? help

You might have tried this. If your using windows XP you can access advanced monitor settings

Start/control panel/appearance and themes/diplay/settings tab/advanced/adapter/list all modes/ select 480x640 60hz.

after you click the "advanced" button and the "list all modes" button it will give you a drop down list you can scroll thru .
I don't remember if you use the 256 color or the 16bit color at 480x640 60hz. you can try both.

After you set your computer, shut it down. the Proxima panels have to be turned on "first" and then boot the computer up so it recognizes the panel.

after you get an image on the 822 get into the menu and change the colors on the Proxima to the 256,000. the default setting for the panel is 3000+ - colors
