Proxima Ovation 944+ issues

Hi, I've searched and couldn't find my answer so...

I've got some issues with my Proxima Ovation 944 and was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

- Jumpy picture

If there's a lot of action on the screen, it seems like the top half of the screen moves before bottom. It's really annoying. I'm wondering if this is just a faulty panel or if this is something that can be fixed in the settings. I was really surprised because I thougth the 944 was supposed to be one of the best, and my 846 seems to be doing a lot better. Granted, I can only use the S-Video input, which leads me to my second issue:

- Video cable

My panel came without one and this is like nothing I've ever seen before. It's definately not compatible w/ my Ovation 846 cable. Anyone know of any compatible ones?

- 9-pin Serial Port

What is this used for? Is it for Video? I have a one of those Cheese Boxes that converts the signal, and it has a 9-pin serial out. By any chance could I hook that up? I have no clue.

-Macrovision

More of a rant, really. Why make a panel with video quality if you can't watch movies on it? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

If anyone reads this and can offer any advice, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

I have this panel and noticed all of what you wrote about. The effect where the top moves before the bottom was remedied (not completely, but enough) by using the VGA input. I have never tried tinkering with the frequencies of the video card, but you can syncronize in the options menu somewhere. I haven't used my projector in a few months because of school, but finals is this week and then I'm on break, so I'll be using it quite often during that time. I'll let you know where the sync adjustment is in the menu sometime after next Thursday.
