About a year ago I purchased a Proxima AV Pro 9310 projector (its huge) and I am having a few problems. The first surprise was that the S-Video inputs (both of them) are not working (i plug in the cable, but the Video option in the menu is grayed out). Since the only working inputs where the two VGA inputs, i decided to get a cheap converter box that took my S-Video inputs and converted them to a VGA signal, it worked,, but it looked horrible. The resolution was about what I expeted, but all of the whites were horribly blown up and every light source would be magnified. So now I play all of my dvd's through a computer, which provides a fairly amazing picture, but I still notice that the whites are overly strong (but far less than with the converter). How can I reduce the amount of white level that I get with the converter? The projector is rated at 2100 Lumens, so I'm thinking that maybe the bulb is too bright, considering im using the projector in a living room.
