Proview 15.4" with wierd lines

Hi, this is my second proview monitor and there seems to be a vertical shadow whenever there is something dark. It is really annoying the brighter the light source is. I first test it on my 9200 and it can be barely seen and then I move it to my dukane that has a 575w mh bulb in it and it is as clear as day. My first one did the same exact thing, it never shows up when the lcd is assembled. Is this just a general proview thing or something? I've seen the results of that one hd projector and the results looked fine. I have completely ruled out interference since I have tried it hooked up to my computer with an extentsion and hooked up directly to my laptop. What exactly is wrong with it? Should I just return it? I might just give up and buy a regular 15". Here is a crappy picture of what I mean:
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

electronic artifact

That is definitely some sort of a refresh-related artifact. If you don't see it when the LCD monitor is assembled, then you have to think about what is different.

Maybe you have a problem with inadequate grounding. When the boards were assembled in the monitor, there may have been some ground connections through the mounting screws and metal chassis. If you didn't replace those with wires, then the ground level on one of the driver boards could be floating up above 0 volts.

I have a Proview 15" XGA LCD in my projector, and I never see anything like that.
