Pronunciation - thiele....

It is, but that is difficult to pronounce for english speakers. The short "e" at the end of the word is the problem. It is pronounced something between an "a" and an "e". When I think of it, the "e" in "when" is the correct one.
 
Don't know about the heritage of the name, I just called the 1-800 number... 😉 . Joking of course.

In all seriousness, I have auditioned them at dealerships all over the country(USA) and had always heard it pronounced there as Teal so did so myself. In numerous conversations with others I had heard other pronunciations but always wrote it off as the "Tomato/tomauto" enunciation.
