Greetings. First post here. I'll try not to sound like some sort of mental midget.
So I'm setting up my first projector. I'm going for a fairly large image and the projector is about 15 back from the wall. Plus, I can't run cable through the walls (because I'm in an apartment) so the total minimum length from projector to source (DVD player -right under the screen with my audio gear), after going around the screen and such, is over 30 feet.
A component cable at that length is quite expensive. And HDMI doesn't even work at that length. My projector has a pretty nice image so I dont want to use S-Video or composite. Right?
Or... I could put the DVD player back with the projector and run the RCA audio up to the front instead. Would there be a problem here with signal loss? The sound is important to me as well.
Or... I could put everything but the speakers in the back, and run stereo wire to the front. This option is not pretty or particularly convenient.

Any ideas, oprinions would be greatly apprieciated. This is all new to me.

your best bet is to have the dvd player and projecor together and then run rca cables to your amp aslong as you keep the rca cable away from power cables you wont get no noticable loss in quality
but dont cheap out on your rca cable's try to get oxygene free cabling
