Projector bulb over life How long now?

I am trying to get a hold of a sharp projector that uses a 270W Metal Halide bulb but is over the rated life. I'm not too concerned with brightness so how long should this bulb continue to work before I need to get another 300 dollar bulb?

I can sell this bulb in $40, without reflector
