Hello everybody, I am planning to build a pp-amp with balanced input, maybe EL34 / 6500/ El-PL504 or KT88. (25-50W?) I have speakers with 88-89dB sensitivity and I have dac with bal. output and bal. preamp. Does anyone have any good suggestions? Not a kit, I do metal work and connect myself, I've built tube amp/preamp before 🙂 Best Regards to all diy-tube-friends from Anders 🙂
Pete Millet's Push-Pull KT88 / 6L6GC / EL34 / 300B / 2A3 amp with "universal" driver PCB. Get his PCB or make your own PTP wiring.
Hi,
Just a quick note. build it with kt88's for about 25 watts. The el34 will only deliver 15 even though that would be enough for me with such speakers.

Anders, why not Allen's PP2C? I fallen in love with this design 🙂
Or go expensive - use input and interstage transformers!... OK, you can get some nice inspiration from Kevin Carter, K&KAudio

yes i use it
in 2 versions first i modded a dynaco mono block with kt88 and changed later to 300b.
and my small/spare amp is a v81 irt broadcasting e84l amp modified similar to the pp2c amp
ask johanna-allens wife if she sells the building map.

Hi, did you ever build this amp? I am thinking of building it myself.
