Powersoft K8

Hi all.
A Powersoft K8 came in for repair due to water damage.
Upon repairing a track on the underside of the pcb, i also found
a bad voltage regulator.
Unfortunately it is cracked open and i am not able to see which one is it.
I am referring to U4 in the power amplifier section.
Here is a pic that might help.

You'll probably have thought of this, but is there an identical regulator doing the same job on the other channel?
I suppose looking at the voltage ratings of connected caps on the output would give you a ballpark idea of the o/p voltage.

I understand that powersoft are a bit cagey with their service data, unfortunately.

Thank you.

I think i came to the same conclusion myself.

There are only multilayer capacitors in the input and output of the regulator.

I only knew for sure it was a negative type.

Thanks again.

Can anyone help with quality pictures to see k-cntrl component side. Both side of kfrnt the display and buttons. The top card board and components. I'm also struggling with the kalsu for PSU. I also need clear picture s of both side to see tracks connections. Please email me at mgee626@gmail.com

Thanks you guys

+/-175v remember there's step up to upgrade k series

+/- 175V very high with huge switching losses in IDLE

Amp perfect for bass

But High Voltage Mosfet will be slow with high rise and fall times

clarity will decrease in Mid and High

I like to know switching Frequency ?

I think something between 200 - 250 khz.

Does somebody want have schematic from K series ?
