I would like to buy this amplifier pcb
Tube audio amplifier super compact Mini 3.5 W board with original Philips tube PCL82 (ECL82) included, made in USA
  • Output power 4W max
  • Input 100 mV
  • DC voltage 250V or AC voltage 200 V/ 45 mA
  • High voltage DC supply already built-in
  • Heather (PCL82) 15V DC / 0.3 A or AC (6.3 V for ECL82)
  • Tube IS included- Original Philips PCL-82 NEW TUBE
  • Output and power transformers are not included
  • Recommended output transformer 5000 ohms
i don't understand what type of power transfomer i must use for europe
Can you help me showing the power transformer for europe and saing me where i can buy it online?
Thank you

You should ask the guy who designed the amp!

If one channel needs 45mA DC, for both channels you will need a transformer rated 0.2A AC or more!

Try to find a local business who can wind custom transformers and order one with 200v/0.2A + 15v/1A secondaries.

Check the heater voltage with both tubes on - if it is more than 16v, add series resistors to the heater secondary, like 0.1 ohm /3w, to get the voltage down to 16v, or else the tubes will not live long.

For a ECL82 you can use https://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/product_info.php/info/p2192_Ringkern-Netztrafo-30VA.html
The PCL82 is more complicated since you need 15V,not so commen.
By puting some extra windings it is possible to go from the 6,3V to 15V.
Another way is putting two 18V(1A) transfomers back to back and a resistance in serie with the heather to get rid of 3V.

excuse me for the level of my question i must have 220v input what i can do with all that cables in the input section
I understand the output with the green and the red but not the input
Excuse me but it is my first toroidal...

hello ,

it is possible use doubler to 6.3 V~ ; up to power BT is 6.3 V~ X 2.828 = 17.81 V= !

and regulator LM317T to ajuste +/- 16 V=

😉
That's a good idea 🙂
The regulator isn't needed, with the losses of the diodes and some ripple the result is close inough (how do you write that 😕)for the PCL82.

16V AC transformers are cheap and easy to come by and are readily salvaged from dead equipment. This cannot be said for reasonable current 6.3V transformers. The actual voltage is rather forgiving and you can usually get away with anything from 15-17V. They can also be series connected (as they were designed for) allowing you to use an even more easily obtained 32V AC transformer.

P types are a godsend for us budget builders and I would always build with them rather than E types.

Maybe, but the 6.3v winding needs to be rated 2.5A or more in this case. And we are replacing benign 50Hz hum with rectification spikes and harmonics which radiate in the neighbouring circuits... not so good.
