After reading all the chatter, I've been waiting MONTHS for PartsExpress to get these back in stock, finally arrived and went straight into it to begin mods, well, actually set it up with a set of Small Advents (yes, inefficient, but 4 ohms) to confirm how absolutely crappy these sound.javascript:smilie(':xeye:')
xeye

Getting into the unit was not easy, the POS screws strip by looking at them I ended up drilling one of the screws out and drilling through the top of the case, was going to put it in another case anyway, but not a good start.javascript:smilie('😡')
mad. Meanwhile my pre-prepared burgers with bits of cheddar and bacon from the local fancy food place are burning to crisp on the grill...

While snipping off the black circuit board holders, I accidently chipped off C66, look at the new board, there is a small cap right where you need it to make taking the board off difficult. How in the world do I get the value for that cap?

Examining the board, the SMD solder is some of the worst I've seen, no wonder so many of these are DOA. SURPRISE! Yet another Made in China piece of absolute garbage...
