I have just made my first attempt of a subwoofer with the Tang band W6-1139sif.
It is a ventet enclosure and I simulated it in winisd.
But, how do I know if the port is optimal?
Also, does it matter if the port is inside the box? I was thinking it would be much easier to experiment with the port length if it was sticking out of the box.
I have REW and a Umik, so I can measure the response.
Do I simply try different lengths of the port until I get the best plot in REW?

If the frequency response is kinda smooth (no sudden or sharp peaks around tuning), as a result from changing the port length and/ or chamber volume.
Also make the port large enough, that if you fill in the number of Watts you're feeding it with your amplifier, the port velocity doesn't get much over 17 meters/ second (stay's in the green).
