Thats fine if you post slightly off topic, your still conversating and thats what the forums are for, some other posters are just uptight and treat their threads like a precious baby.. Anyway, Yeah i looked on ebay.de and google.de, but Im pretty sure g12 is an american base because the metal halide bulb that its for is american made. Ya know how the american market made some "Hqi" bulbs which were just metal halide and everyone got them confused with german hqi... well these are the american ones. But yeah im waiting for a few emails hopefully someone has it.

ahh come on sadd i was just in there once lol had to see whats new, hmm ok ok i was realy looking for property lol i thought he might be in a morgue shot but anyway onto the story, poohbear hows it bud? ok the reason i said international is cos over here in the europe part of the world they sell light boxes with mh lights for shops, now they use the g12 base but not all as most are double ended, now with phillips go to their site and see who sells their gear cos if they make a g12 bulb they must have the sockets to match, the only other thing would be hunting around in the shops that sell these light units on the net and emailing them for a spare part price.

Good luck!

You guys are probably going to laugh, but I am actually retro fitting my broken Dukane 680 with a DYS 600 watt halogen.
The ballast is burned out so I was looking for the cheapest rout
to get it going. It has a nice reflector/condensor assembly and a
12" fresnel. I will eventually put a single ended 150watt HQI like you are looking at or perhaps a 250w double ended HQI kit from diylabs. I had a DYS bulb already so that kind of got me thinking about it for a temporary fix.

No laughter here, we are all mature adults (with the exception of a few). The people selling these sockets are cool, i just sent out a money order yesterday and im sure he hasnt gotten it but he said he will send the socket today. Pretty trusting, and it will save me some time. Good luck with that retrofit.

big thx @ amarok, this is a great forum to find out more about a cheap selfmade projector.
@ poohbear: yea, it is really difficult to find any display like this, but in the threat, that amorak talk about, there are many other posibilities to build a projektor with other displays

4 requests, my ICQ: 178139627
