Plate Amp Options, and LED Question

I am looking to build a ported enclosure for the Titanic MKII, possibly Shiva. First off, what would be the minimum size amp recommended for this sub?

Secondly, I've viewed all the amps from Parts Express, but are there any 200w plate amps without the heatsinks? I see P.E.'s 500 and 1000w amps have a clean look without the heatsinks, but the next step down for the clean look would be the 70w amp. A price tag of around $150 would be nice as well.

Also, this may not be the best place to ask, but I am looking at installing a simple led o the front of the sub enclosure to indicate when the sub is on. Mostly for aesthetics. Any thoughts on how to do this? Could a simply hook it up to the plate amp somehow? What would I need to do this. Any instructions?

Thanks in advance!

Probably 100watts-200watts

Heatsinks dissipate the heat from the output transistors, normally they are required. The only reason the larger units dont have them,is because they are Class D etc, ~90% efficient instead of class a/b ~50% efficient.

A LED typically operates off 12v with resistor ~1k ohm in series to limit current.

Typical current is <10mA if i remember correctly, with ~2v drop across it.

- Youl need to find a suitable supply rail.
