placement question for PPSL infinite baffle sub

I just bought a new house.
the house has a 60 square meter basement with access to the garden in the back.
walls are all concrete.
i will use the basement as study, second lounge and audio/video area, all open plan.
I am having a storage room built on the long axis of the basement.
the narrow storage room will run next to the listening area.
I am planning to build an infinite baffle sub in this storage room.
2x18" PPSL firing into the listening room.
I have 2 Faital Pro 18FH500s for the job.

Here is the Q:

Should the sub be firing into the corner of the listening area?
Or should it fire into the mid part of the side wall, right next to the listening seats?

You could try a "test run" with one of your main speakers and determine which position provides the better LF coverage.

A single PPSL will cancel some vibration and even order harmonic distortion, but using the two 18" in two different positions may result in more even coverage of the listening area, which may be preferable to either single position.

I hear you...
If the storage room was the front wall, I could do stereo subs with single 18" per side.
Would there be any benefit with having two separate IB subs on the side wall?
I am new to the IB sub discussion: does IB subs behave more like OB bass or boxed bass? There is definitely a case for multiple sealed subs, but does the same apply to IB sub?

PS: PPSL has the added bonus of lowering the Fs of the driver (30hz for 18FH500)

1) Possibly.
2)An infinite baffle behaves like a very large box mounted on a room boundary plane.
3) Yes, the IB speaker is a point source similar to a sealed box.

thanks W, that is very helpful....

the new house is semidetached: so now I am worried that the IB sub might be tough love for the neighbors (if it behaves like sealed).

I should perhaps try a ripole sub first and if the bass is too weak for the room then move to IB later.

The system will be for music most of the time. Amp is a class D 7.1 AV receiver with 150-200W (8ohm) per channel.

Main speakers will be OB with single 15" per side for mid bass duties. Hand over to sub around 60-80hz.
