Hi,
is simply way to upgrade my super dvd player?
DAC is PCM1716 ( oryginaly PE8001A ).
Could I change it for AD1955 or PCM1738?
Or maybe some other chips are better for this?

In that case, assuming no processing takes place causing an increase in wordlength, any of the dacs listed wll do. You will have to find out the format of the data the PCM1716 is receiving and possibly the MCLK frequency as well. The datasheet will tell you that.
There is a highbit ic making it 24 bit and a legatolink filter in the 717.
It seems a bit like going across the river to get water if you only use it for cd playback.
You still need the inbuilt clock and clock conversion chip to use the player so if the only discs you listen to are cd's you can do much better then using the 717 independant of dac chips used.
