Are the faceplates on these two units interchangeable? Willl I get the improvements from 3600 if I use that faceplate on the 2600? I have both, and can just swap units if necessary.

they may interchange but I think your display will be all messed up looking. I know you can switch ones that look the same eg: 5500 with 3500 and 6600 with 7600mp and 1500 and 1600. It shouldnt have anything to do with the features at all so I can almost guarantee wont be able to change that. 2003-2004 works fine for switching like models plates in my experience.
