Pioneer A400 Volume pot, connection advice needed

Hay guys, I need to know where to connect a third party pot to replace the original pot, doing away with balance control 😕

Any advice is appreciated.

If anyone has done there pot upgrade on their A400 and has pics it would help even more?

Fitting a dual gang pot that doesn't have the balance split shaft is not a problem but the original pot in the A400 has a 'loudness' center tap have you managed to find a replacement pot with one of these ?

Interesting on the loudness center tap, never seen this before.

Was just going to use a ladder pot.

Edit: Can I just ignore the center tap?

All good, I just needed to study the schematics a little more 🙂

Well that started going good, but the left channel was out and turned out to be shorting to earth somewhere, then got it working but the levels were mega high with a small turn of the pot 🙁

Is this the issue when not using a pot with 'loudness' center tap?

I got it in this state, a ladder pot wired before and after the original area where the pot did live, and the left channel not working.

And trying to fix these issues has gone backwards, now neither channel works correct.

Oh well bought it thinking I could resolve the issue and it ended being a bad call on my part.
