I don't know about interstages, but I can talk very well about the quality, the attention to details and technical preparation of the owner.
I agree that their output transformers are quite good, especially for the money.
Let us know how they perform!
...and if you get what you ordered, last time I got not one but four chokes with different inductance/current ratings than what I ordered. Didn't discover the mistake until a month later and the ratings weren't too much off so I let it pass.

Looking through their selection, it is interesting that they have all of those faithful reproductions of juke box transformers. They are not exactly straightforward designs either, with multiple combinations of secondaries and separate winding for 70V line out. Is there such a big market for that?
AMI Rowe output traffo
I was interested because I have a chassis and the transformer is very flexible with all of those outputs, so different primary impedances can be created. But the bit I am really interested in trying is the centre tapped 70V output. Their must be a cunning plan there somewhere involving screens!

Now I look closely at the windings I think there may be a fatal flaw in my plan. The 70V secondary has its centre tap connected internally, so no way to apply any bias to the screens.
I have discussed cathode feedback on here before but the issue there is the amount of swing that is created on the cathode, so the drive requirements become too complex. But maybe a voltage divider could 'tune' the amount of feedback?
I think it is back to the drawing board. If only that CT was accessible.
Anyway, not relevant to this thread. I have bookmarked that supplier of trandformers!

Maurizio (the owner) is a very good and experienced person, just drop him an email and he will promptly reply.
Do you know if he does customs jobs? They have a lot of interesting transformers but they would be even more interesting if they could be customized on request. A different air gap here, an extra heater winding there...Maurizio (the owner) is a very good and experienced person, just drop him an email and he will promptly reply.
IME the increased drive requirements are usually worth it, but of course there is a point of diminishing returns somewhere.I have discussed cathode feedback on here before but the issue there is the amount of swing that is created on the cathode, so the drive requirements become too complex. Good to know, thanks!
Even though I had some bad luck with my latest order, I intend to buy more iron from them in the future.
I'm listening to a pair of 807 SE monoblocks with (mostly) Piemme transformers as I'm typing this, and I'm very pleased with the sound from their small shrouded 8k OPTs. I'm currently working on one more amp that will use the exact same transformers and I'm planning to try some of their bigger OPTs some time in the future.

Howdy, i ordered shielded version https://shop.piemme-elektra.it/Categories/373/Products/8898. 6J5 driver, IT to 45 Tube. I like what i hear. Good shielding, no hum or noise problem and very nice looking items. I use my 300B amp hashimoto A-105 IT and like both of these. So definely going to order more stuff Piemme Elektra.
Good to hear!
I'm about to order some iron for a 300B SET soon from either Lundahl or Piemme. So far I've been happy with the OPTs I've bought from Piemme but their power transformers could be quieter. Might end up with a Lundahl power transformer and OPTs + chokes from Piemme, their double C core OPTs look promising.
