I dont know if anyone has brought these up before, stumbled upon them after reading up on wiki about HID lighting. Same technology used in the new "Pocket Projectors" that are out and also in the Samsung LED Based TV's.
Has anyone considered getting one of these kits, how much planning would be involved in using something like this. I'm assuming you wouldn't be able to just use them as a light source.
any feedback welcome

Edison make a planar high output LED
I was doing some research and Edison makes a high lumen high output planat LED that looks promising it's called an EdiStar they make 50 watt and 100 watt versions in different color temps. the require a heat sink similar to what you'd put on a CPU chip. The 100 watt LED is $150. You have to call their US headquarters and the sales rep can get one for you. I haven't tried it yet.
