I have bought this player very cheap and the CD does not spin.
There was a factory sticker concerning a transport lock that tells to press some buttons on the front panel to lock / unlock ?
Unfortunately this sticker is mostly removed...
Is there also a mechanic lock somewhere ?
Just wanna play with it for fun, maybe the big CDM10 is useful for something.

I have a 495 lying about in parts.......
Because mine had no sticker at all.
I thought transportation had killed it.....
The print on the right side attracted my interest,perhaps it could be used with a cdm2.

Hi!. I don´t remember the key combination that locks the transport, but when you power the unit on and open the tray, the mechanism unlocks automatically. So the problem isn´t there. Maybe I can look for the key combination if you want to know it.
BTW, I really like the sound of this machine, but mine is starting to skip. Is there any way of using the DAC board with other CD transport?
