Philips CD 723

Hi to all,

Recently I bought this player and I'm now ready to do a little modifications.
I'm using this player only as CD transport. I read all the earlier posts that refer on this player and now I 'm confused. Can somebody write me what to tweak on simple language (e.g remove diode XXX with diode yyy) and who has the best tweak for this player.There are few on net.

I think you're question may be a bit too vague to get any responses.

From what I've read the 723 is not a good choice for a transport. The digital output is corrupted by a digital volume control AFAIK.

There are many better players to use as a transport.

As stated above, the digital ( SP/DIF ) output is not bit-perfect so is a compromise at best.

I would not waste time or money on mods.

or any of the Philips using the CDM9
