Hi,
Have a Philips CD-450 with CDM 2/10 with strange issues.
One is when the tray is open the motor tray doesn't stop. If i push the tray back a little it's stops. Checked the switches everything OK.
Second one the swing arm doesn't move at all.
Checked with service steps.
Service mod 0 - stand-by OK.
service mod 1 - focus OK.
service mod 3 - not OK. That means it doesn't goes to the service mod 3, goes directly to service mode 0.
On service mod 0 and 1 the swing arm should move if the search buttons are pushed. Doesn't move at all.
Seems it something on the radial tracking circuit.
Checked voltages, cold solders , cables, replaced all caps ( the well known issue), checked the power supply and nothing.
The laser is working, the focus is working disc is spinning.
Checked the connections between servo and laser mechanism , other well known issue , nothing wrong.
So, any clue anyone?
Thank you.
Update.
I think I'm isolated the problem.
Seems it is a problem with the turntable motor.
Checked all voltages and in the Stop mode on pin 5 of the op-amp MC1458 the voltage is wrong. Needs to be 0V but measured 2.2V.
The op-amp is changed with new one because I suspected a problem with it , but the same problem.
Any idea?
Thank you.
