I'm starting a build of my first horn system.
I picked up a pair of 2447'S on HR6040 horns to play with.
Will likely go to an Azura AH-340 or an inlow DIY paper mache horn
In reading about various diaphram materials it seems phenolic works well at lower frequencies but at the expense of performance at higher frequencies.
I do plan to use a tweeter and this got me thinking that perhaps a phenolic diaphram might be good for the upper mid horn to allow it to go a bit lower.
Is it possible to use a 2482 style phenolic diaphrams on newer 100mm compression drivers like the 2447 or other ?
Any thoughts or shared experience would be most welcome.
