Any info on this amp? It was dropped off for repair with blown outputs and half of the supply fets shorted and two traces burned under the vertical module by the power supply section. The traces look to originate from a small winding from the xfrmer.
My understanding this amp adjusted the rail voltage according to the load, like the older carver amps. I see it uses a PIC micro, must use that for PWN control?? I have parts on order, just waiting for them to arrive and curious if this amp is worth much at all.

600.1 is a OK amp it does what its says at any ohm load so 600 is all she has and it does monitor the output load and current draw to adjust itself accordingly. There is a trick to bypass this though, and it will run unlimited and end back up on your bench most likely.🙁

What do you need to know ? You can PM me if you like about this amp...🙂

Well the power supply does have twin sets of 100 VDC rated filter caps so with the potential of +&- 100 volts DC on the rails, a word of caution is advised , and yes the tabs on the 6 regulator chips might be carrying enough to tingle your fingers if you touch them by accident. So yes please be careful high voltage is present inside this amp.

Scope isolation would depend on where and what your testing. If your scoping across certain devices in the output stage and the high voltage rails then I would say Yes. but for anything else except the outputs and the rails feeding them I would say no you don't need to isolate your scope.
