Hi,
I need some advice on this matter. I am working on the above amp belonging to a friend. This amp is an imported version using 120V AC, 60Hz. Here we use 240V AC, 50Hz. My friend wants me to modify it into a 240V version. I took the secondary voltages of this imported version and they read 28V AC each. (28V -0-28V) at 150Watts. I have a 240V version transformer that reads (32-0-32) about 250 Watts. A difference of 4V AC each and 100 Watts .Can I safely substitute this transformer . Does the 4V AC and 100Watts difference does any damage to the circuit. Pls advice.
Thanks

Peavey are renown as being an 'on the edge' amplifier. I think that if you fit your spare transformer, your DC result will increase from 79Volts to 90Volts.
I would purchase a 150Watt Auto transformer and leave the original in it.
