I have an old assemblage dac 1 with dual PCM 1702 that looks to use socketed AD844 chips for IV conversion. I have some 1:9 mic transformers that are designed around 60 Ohm primary impedance that I would like to try for IV conversion. I’m wondering if I can just pick up the 1702 outputs at the input pins of the AD844 sockets with an adapter. I’m also thinking it might be a good idea to load the existing power supply at the socket adapter too rather than just leaving it float.
Sorry, I don’t have a schematic but I’m hoping that 1702 with AD844 IV conversion was common enough back in the day that someone can answer from experience.
Thanks,
Marty
