Hi, im looking for a dual or pair of 18" or21 or 15" subwoofer that goes with my behringher. Inuke3000dsp amplifier. Idlike to have a lit of power and cheast compression and punch. My budget is 2000$ ... If you found one at lower price that respond to demands, it would be cool too 🙂

Thanks !

You can build a pair of these for around $2000:

If you are not planning to build, the JBL SRX 728 is a good choice if you can still find them, but a single Keystone will outperform it in terms of output level and punch.

You didn't mention what SIZE speakers you'd be comfortable with, so I'm going to suggest a solution that's not going to take up TOO much space in your living room.

The iNUKE 3000DSP boasts of 3kW of power, but actually RMS capability is a bit lower than that. In any case it's pretty decent particularly for the cost and if I remember correctly, the specs suggest that you'll get the best results with a solution that presents about 2 ohms per channel.

For chest-thumping bass at home , here's what I'd do:

1. Get four of these drivers: Dayton Audio DVC385-88 15" DVC Series Subwoofer 295-190

2. Build two 6 cu.ft. sealed and well-braced enclosures, each to hold two of the above-mentioned drivers.

3. Wire the drivers in each enclosure to present a 2-ohm load to the amp on each channel.

4. Use the 3000 DSP's dynamic EQ feature to add a bit of EQ below 40 Hz to flatten the response at lower volumes.

Sit back and enjoy, and after everyone is wowed, tell them you spent a total of $531 on the drivers.

Well, your nu3000 is a nice little amp, but it makes the most power at 2 ohms stereo or 4 ohm bridged, and decent power at 8 ohms bridged. Finding a 4 ohm sub is tough, so a sensitive 8 ohm sub is also a good bet.

Here's a $1500 8 ohm horn sub that will get pretty loud off your amp bridged:

And here's a cheap $999 2x18 4 ohm sub:

Peavey SP 218BX PA Subwoofer

And here's a really nice ~$2000 2x18 sub that has great low end extension and is 4 ohms. It would do pretty well off your amp but could handle more if you upgrade the amp. It is a really nice piece of gear and should hold it's resale value. Expect to pay/sell around $1000-$1500 used depending on condition and wholesale vs. retail. So, I went off and read your other threads, if you want to do dubstep, this by far the way to go because it goes lower than most other PA subs. Do it!!!

Any of these in a large living room will be extremely loud.

the qsc is very interesting ... but 101.5db is enough? 😛

So, I went off and found your other thread here:

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/multi-way/244294-pa-set.html

For $1700 usd, here is a nice set of matching QSC tops that would work pretty well with the QSC sub above:

https://www.google.com/search?q=KW122#q=qsc+k12

Here are the 1x15 JBL tops that would have a bit more output, for about $1600:

https://www.google.com/search?q=KW122#q=PRX615M

You could also consider the PRX612M or PRX712:

https://www.google.com/search?q=PRX612M
https://www.google.com/search?q=PRX712

Keep, in mind, you're also going to need speaker stands, cables, a mixer and/or dj controller, and lights.

i wanted to have the tops and sub for ~2000$ , the preamp is a behringer Behringer: POWERPLAY PRO-XL HA4700 🙂

See Subwoofer Speaker Cabinets in the Speaker Components Department at Parts Express | 289. There's a 3 cu.ft. knockdown cabinet there built for the same driver I referred to. All you've got to do is put it together. If you're not into DIY, surely there's someone in your family that is and can help you out 🙂

What size is your room? We are talking about FOUR of these drivers rated at 90dB/1W/1M each, that are going to get up to 500W RMS each from that iNUKE 3000 DSP. Maybe not PA levels, but that's a fair bit of boom for a living room.
