I recently bougt a pair of second hand xa160's. The top cover has, like all PL amps, structure in the black paint. I'd really like to know if there are spray paints that can create the same kind of structure. Or any other ideas how to create this look. As one of my amps lids paintjob is damaged, and the previous owner has sanded it down and repainted it. Now it looks nothing like it should...
Same as woodworking. You look for a similar piece of material to do test finishes on before you do your final piece.

Thanks. But I had planned on re-using the original top lid. I need to recreate the structure
most probably powder-coated , but exact structure is certainly related to sort of paint/powder and heat phase procedure
why not sand and paint the other lid too? make both a glossy finish or what you like.
Give it to a paintshop to get good and equal results.
easyer than get the result of a defined Prozess you dont know.
