I'd like to build a Pass amp to drive my Magneplanar MMGs at best.
Magnepan says that the amp should be able to provide high current into low loads (2 ohms?).
Input should be balanced. A balanced output would be welcome.
Any suggestion?
Regards.

Thank you for your advice.
The BA2 looks very interesting.
Is the bride of zen a suitable preamplifier for the BA2?
Could you suggest other Pass preamplifiers with balanced input?
Regards.

Bride of Son of Zen. I think there is a version using Jfets around.
Or you could always do a balanced B1.

The circlotron by Michael Rothacher does not perform well into low impedance loads apparently.
However that does not mean you can't design one that performs well into low impedance loads.
I have been playing around with a few ideas for circlotrons, so it can be done. I will probably upload some of the ideas sooner or later.
I think Euvl might have a circlotron design that could do the job but I have not seen it.
Have a look around and see what you can find
