Pass Aleph P 1.7 with Classè Dr8

How do you use this combination?
The Classè has both input options: s.e. rca and XLR...but is not balanced.
The xlr input adds some circuitation that is said not too good, most owners say that the s.e. input is better sounding.
But I've read that the Pass P 1.7 sounds better if I use in balanced mode...
What to do? It's only a question of better c.m. rejection or really better sound through xlr output?😕

Thanks.

Stefano:

I helped a friend build an Aleph P 1.7 about 14 years ago, which he paired with a Classe Ten amplifier. Like the Classe 8, the Ten has both balanced and single ended inputs. At the time, my friend had both balanced and single ended interconnects. He tried both and decided to use the single ended cables. All of my friend's source equipment was single ended. I vaguely recall the differences being very subtle.

Your situation might be different but, unless you have an extremely long run between amp and preamp or an unusual problem with RFI, I wouldn't worry about it.
