Hey all!
Im building a cool portable soundsystem (see attached image) and was hoping to get some help to make it a little better 🙂
it uses a cheapo (but effective!) TDA7492 board like here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/116029040803?
Thing is, this is a mono speaker project. And the datasheet gives zero guidance on how to do the PBTL config (see attached application example).
I've read that I tie OUTR+ to OUTL+ and OUTR- to OUTL- but what about the inputs? Would I tie INPA/INPB and INNA/INNB?
Im using standard MP3 player for music which is single supply (ground coupled). So I understand I have to convert that to a differential pair. Using something like this I presume:
https://www.multisim.com/content/FpCbKNNMPA6wXXYVwjf8id/single-ended-to-differential-converter/
Although, I'd like to find a single supply example (using +5V USB power if possible 🙂
Also wondering what the different LC output parts are needed for / how important they are for matching speaked impedance? I'm using a 3 ohm speaker (see bottom right of attached application schematic)
In summary:
1. whats a good single supply single-ended to differential pair op-amp circuit (that runs off 5V)?
2. where do I inject that new signal into the TDA7492 (assuming I tie outputs together)? Since there are 4 inputs..
3. what are the LC values on the output for?
and I also saw theres a external 3v3 reg in the application example from the datsheet. Of course my board doesn't have that, and I was wondering why it wouldn't just rely on the onboard reg?
Thanks so much for any help! I know it's a lot of Qs, so even just one of them answered would be so awesome ^_^ images attached
