Hey folk, did you have a plan to use CS8420 & CS8414 paralel, I need a simple configuration, want to use upsampling and true 24/96 feeding to my DAC using DF1704 and PCM 1704
yap.. elektor electronics have published an upsampling unit based on crystal cs8420, providing both i2s and s/pdif outputs you can find the pcbs in www.elektor.co.uk under the numbering 010014-1

Thanks costiss but if you be pleased I'm to plan use CS8420 and CS8414 simultanously in one PCB, perhaps w/ some logic controller and sensing wich input being use, other way want use input 16/44 data upsampled and true 24/96, btw the link is dead, thx for companion and attn
re
http://www.elektor-electronics.co.uk/ sorry..wrong link
this upsampling unit when loaded with 96kHz S/PDIF signal acts as a bypass BTW imposes no change other than the S/PDIF->I2S conversion - no reason to use the cs8412..

Thanks costiss, how did you know when fed by 96kHz this CS8420 by passes the signal, I'll check the data sheet also, btw from elektor can download the pcb, is that good I'm not really looking the design, once again thx
