Panoview 540 - problem?

I have just received a Panoview 540 lcd.
Problem is when i connect it my computer through the 15pin plug there is no display, just a white screen. The front controls do nothing.

Should it just work?
Does it need a driver?

(I don't want to complain and find it is my fault.)

It came with a PSU rated 11v, 2.73A. Is that right?

And if i do get it to work, how would i connect a dvd player to it?

I wanted to strip it for OHP use. I'm sure it's busted though. 😡
