Hello everyone. I have a Lii Audio Silver 10 open speaker crossover with SW and DSP and I'm very happy with the result. But I found a review of the ESS Heil Air Motion Transformer™ and I'm curious how they would integrate with my system. I live in the EU and there are only two sites that sell them, a French one for 299 euros and then there's www.hifisound.de that gives them "guaranteed" with their own measurements for 339. The truth is that on the original website of the product in the USA they sell this kit that seems to include two to assemble yourself, which with transport and customs is cheaper. I'm not an expert by any means and I just wanted to know if anyone has references for this kit, its quality, if it would be difficult to assemble. I found it strange that there was such a discount just for not being assembled and I don't know if there is any difficulty or defect that is not obvious. Thank you for your time.

You got that wrong - they are fully assembled.
The kit includes long screws and a mounting pad to mount them on-to ESS speakers - or something else.
One note, beware of the phase - some of them have the housing put on the wrong way. With a small magnet you will do well to check if the magnet polarities are identical.
Part from that .....well I have 3 sets and they are not for sale ;-)

If that was the case, is the easy fix just to rotate one of the units?
- And rotate the membrane in the slot - and thus keep the polarity on the membrane lead outs.If that was the case, is the easy fix just to rotate one of the units?
Years back when I ran into this the first time; I started out just turning the unit around & swapped polarity on the leads. This however did not result in identical phase response. I never got to deep dive into why, but expect that it is either related to the way the pleads are folded and/or magnetic field specifics.
Thanks for that. And of course the units have labels on top and bottoms that if the membrane (diaphragm) is removed, that voids the warranty.
No wonder these things are half price now...

Well I have doubled down and ordered a second pair. My plans were to stack the drives anyway, so when the new ones come in...if they are correct, then I can compare them to the first pair I got, and determine which one is "wrong". If they are the same mis-match, well then maybe it is intentional? Has anyone communicated with the manufacturer about this issue?
Also, question regarding stacking. Is it OK to stack the upper unit upside-down, solidly connected to the bottom one with all-thread (and with the top wires exiting out of the top)?
To the OP, I'm also adding Heils to Lii Audio (xisi) drivers. In my case Fast 15s. The bottom bass section will be dual Beta 15s in a PPSL manifold.
